Well actually, the site basically had its main limbs chopped off a while ago, so they have to use 3rd party video player services, where they have no control over the ads. The site itself has no ads when you log in, and video players do work you just have to get through the pop ups that 3rd parties add in, so that they can run their services. Also, just close pop ups before they can do anything...
We dont make any money off of the ads, which is why we are OK in having our users use adguard or adblock plus, or even ublock origin even (though at times this one can get too agressive and block the entire video)
I can personally assure you that all players play just fine, though some are better than others, depending on geographical location. For me, VUP and MyStream work the best.
To make things clear: You should be able to make ad revenue because it's a free site, but if the site now appears to *Require* an ad blocker to keep your PC safe then the moral choice is to notify the users of a risk to their PC.
Just like how Thepiratebay should shut down their site because it has rampant malware uploads that, yeah, affected me because I wanted Winrar to be a little faster. They're being greedy and apathetic to their users pain. Don't go down the same route.
